KePRO Partners with Health Hero Network to Improve Health Outcomes

7th October, 2008

KePRO, a leading quality improvement and care management organization, today announced that it has selected Health Hero Network, to provide its Health Buddy(R) System telehealth platform for remote patient monitoring to KePRO public program and commercial clients. The partnership will strengthen KePRO's care-management services for members living with chronic conditions and who have acute healthcare needs as part of KePRO's comprehensive, member-centric care-management solutions.

"The strategic partnership with Health Hero Network will allow KePRO to more closely monitor member care, leading to better health outcomes," said Joseph A. Dougher, KePRO's Chief Executive Officer. "KePRO's care management solutions focus on strengthening and supporting the patient-physician relationship for members with acute and chronic conditions. Using the award- winning Health Buddy System as an interface between members at home and their care team enables KePRO to facilitate education, monitor behavior and vital signs, and better manage the total health care needs of all members. This will lead to improved health outcomes for traditionally high cost members and provide substantial cost savings for our clients."

KePRO's comprehensive solutions go far beyond traditional utilization- management, case-management and disease-management models. The company coordinates the care provided to members with acute, chronic and complex conditions across the continuum of care. Using a powerful, proprietary analytics engine and advanced technology solutions, KePRO identifies member health risks, as well as total population health risks. Members receive the right care, at the right time, in the right setting, while clients realize increased cost savings. With the Health Hero Network partnership, KePRO will expand its interventions by integrating home monitoring technologies and real- time clinical information into its health management programs to generate even greater cost savings for clients, and behavior change and improved health outcomes for members.

"We are excited to partner with KePRO because their vision of improved quality of care and increased cost savings matches our own long term view of the synergies between remote patient monitoring and chronic-care management", said Derek Newell, CEO of Health Hero Network. "With our recent acquisition by the Bosch Group, we are even better positioned to further accelerate the development of advanced technologies for remote patient care. As we develop the next generation of remote patient monitoring technologies, we expect the benefits of such a strong partnership with KePRO to increase the contributions both organizations make to achieving improved quality of care for patients with chronic conditions."
