BNY Mellon Wealth Management Continues Florida Expansion with New Tampa Bay Office

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation announced that it has established a new office in Tampa to accommodate the continued growth of its Florida wealth management business. This is the 21st office in the state for BNY Mellon Wealth Management.

"This new location and the highly experienced team we've put in place reflect BNY Mellon's commitment to the continued growth of our business and client interests in Florida," said executive director, Larry Hughes. "Our Tampa location gives us room for expansion both within the community and on the entire Gulf Coast of Florida."

The Tampa office will make available to local clients BNY Mellon's full breadth of wealth management and banking services. Its senior management includes: regional director Raymond E. Ifert; senior directors Matthew R. Masem, Jr. and Lea R. LeVines, who are responsible for new business development and ongoing client management; and senior director and portfolio manager Paul M. Anderson, CFA, who manages private client portfolios. Masem, LeVines, and Anderson all report to Ifert, who reports directly to Florida west coast regional director Paul Dresselhaus. Also joining the team are Lorraine Faedo, Marcene Coburn and Teresa Dailey.

Ifert is a highly experienced wealth management executive with more than twenty-five years in the industry. Most recently he was with Regions Bank where he served as an executive vice president and sales manager for the company's Florida-based high net worth sales division. Prior to that, he was a senior vice president with the Private Bank at Bank of America where he was the market executive of the Tampa Bay market. Ifert has served on numerous boards in the Tampa area, and is currently the chairman of the board of trustees for the Tampa Museum of Art. He also serves on the executive committee of the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am. He received his bachelor's degree in accounting from Valdosta State University.

Masem joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management after retiring from Bank of America, and has more than thirty years of investment management, trust, and private banking experience. He earned his bachelor of science degree in business administration from Florida Southern College. He has been a member of the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council for more than twenty years, and has served as a past president. He is an accredited estate planner (AEP).

LeVines joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management from U.S. Trust Bank of America Wealth Management. She is a certified financial planner with more than twenty years' experience in commercial and wealth management business development and client relationship management. LeVines is a past chairman of the board of the Tampa Bay chapter of the American Red Cross and serves on the planned giving committee for the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. She also serves as a good ambassador for the Southeastern Guide Dog School. LeVines earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Miami.

Anderson joins BNY Mellon Wealth Management from U.S. Trust Bank of America Wealth Management where he had more than twenty years' experience in managing private client portfolios. Anderson is a member of the CFA Institute and the Investment Management Consultants Association. He is a chartered financial analyst and earned his bachelor of arts degree in English from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and his MBA from University of Southern Florida with a concentration in finance.
