Old Mutual Asset Management (US) Reports Affiliates' Assets Under Management for Second Quarter 2007

13th August, 2007

Old Mutual Asset Management, the U.S. asset management group of Old Mutual plc (LSE: OML), announced assets under management (AUM) by the group's member firms of $315.1 billion, as of June 30, 2007, nearly 9% ahead of AUM from the previous quarter. The $25.3 billion quarter-over-quarter increase was driven by substantial positive net cash flow and investment return. There were substantial net inflows of client assets totaling $11 billion in Q2.

"Both net inflows and market returns contributed to Old Mutual Asset Management's growth in assets under management in the second quarter," said Scott Powers, chief executive officer of Old Mutual Asset Management. "In a market environment that may experience higher levels of volatility, we believe that both institutional and retail investors will perceive the value of our focus on active management and quality investments."
