OpTier(TM) today announced the release of a report by Forrester Research titled "Strong Performer OpTier Brings Transaction Management to BSM." This research note was issued by Forrester as part of the Forrester Wave(TM): Business Service Management, Q1 2007, in which OpTier is recognized as a "strong performer." OpTier is among the select group of technology vendors that Forrester invited to participate in the March 28th report on Business Service Management and only one of three in the category of performance and transaction management vendors.
In their summary of OpTier, Peter O'Neill, a principal analyst in Forrester's IT infrastructure management group and Evelyn Hubbert, a senior analyst in Forrester's IT systems management group, write that OpTier's CoreFirst "can be extensively used for planning, monitoring, and controlling/prioritizing business transactions" and "is an excellent addition to existing service management tools." The summary also notes that CoreFirst's ability to dynamically prioritize transactions guarantees "that the most important transactions flow easily through the infrastructure."
