New Alternatives for Retirement Savings

Millennium Trust announces the kick off its summer line up of free educational seminars focusing on investing IRA funds in real estate. The first 90-minute seminar for investors and professionals will be held on Thursday, June 26, at 11:30 am at Millennium Trust corporate headquarters located at 820 Jorie Blvd., Oak Brook, Ill.

The seminar, "New Alternatives for Retirement Savings," will educate attendees about the various types of retirement accounts that can be self-directed including Traditional, Roth and SEP IRAs, Individual or Solo (k) plans will also cover the rules and regulations surrounding alternative asset investing with a focus on real estate. The seminar program will benefit tax, legal, and real estate professionals as well as investors wishing to know more about self-directed IRA investments and seeking to understand the nuances of alternative asset investing within self-directed IRAs.

Sandra Reese, Senior Vice President of Millennium Trust, will discuss alternative investment options available for individuals wishing to self direct their individual retirement accounts. "Not many investors are aware that IRA funds can be used to acquire real estate and other alternative assets and that there are rules and regulations that must be followed to avoid prohibited transactions," states Reese. "Our seminar is specifically designed to provide information to individuals and professionals to help them determine if investing in alternative assets is appropriate."

A special segment discussing Tenants in Common (TIC) ownership will be presented by Alison Jannotta, Regional Director - SCI Real Estate Investments, at the 12:30pm 'lunch and learn' session.
