The Hartford is a city which is located on the Connecticut River of Connecticut, U.S. Hartford has a nickname "The Insurance Capital of the World". Coming to the population of the city it has 124,558 by the month of July 2002, and it is the second largest city in the state. The city has formed by a group of English settlers In 1636, led by the Reverend Thomas Hooker left Massachusetts and came here and formed a colony. They have made peace with the local Algonquin Indians, who were called as town Saukiog, and then renamed it as Hartford. It also called as "the land of steady habits." It has been named like that by the environment of the city.
