Selective Insurance Group, Inc. announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America ("Selective"):
Yanina Hupka (Sparrowbush, NY), to vice president of operations including reinsurance. Previously she served as assistant vice president and assistant controller. Ms. Hupka joined Selective in September 2000 as a senior reinsurance accountant. Before coming to Selective, she was a reinsurance technical analyst with Frontier Insurance Company. Ms. Hupka holds a B.A. from the State University of New York in New Paltz, NY and holds the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), and Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF) designations from the Insurance Institute of America.
Deborah Dickens-Hunter (Bridgewater, NJ), to assistant vice president, personal lines product manager. Ms. Dickens-Hunter joined Selective in February 2008. She came to Selective from Allstate New Jersey Insurance Company where she served as field product manager. Ms. Dickens-Hunter holds a B.S.B.A. from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania and holds a Masters of Science in Insurance Management from Boston University in Massachusetts. In addition, she holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation.
Selective Insurance Group, Inc. is a holding company for seven property and casualty insurance companies rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best. Through independent agents, the insurance companies offer primary and alternative market insurance for commercial and personal risks, and flood insurance underwritten by the National Flood Insurance Program. Other subsidiaries of the company provide claims, human resources and risk management services.
