Selective Insurance Group, Inc. announced the following appointments by its subsidiaries, Selective Insurance Company of America ("Selective") and Selective HR Solutions, Inc.

Brian Sarisky (Bradenton, FL), to senior vice president of Selective Insurance Company of America and president and CEO of Selective HR Solutions, Inc. Mr. Sarisky will continue to lead Selective's large and alternative market operation, Selective Risk Managers (SRM). Mr. Sarisky joined Selective in 1991 as an underwriter and then agency management specialist in Pennsylvania, before holding various managerial roles within Selective. Mr. Sarisky holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA and an MBA from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. He holds designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU).

Joel Duncan (Parrish, FL), to senior vice president, field operations of Selective HR Solutions, Inc., a benefits and human resources outsourcing subsidiary of Selective Insurance Group, Inc., from vice president of field operations. Mr. Duncan joined Selective HR Solutions in 1994 as a sales manager and has held various managerial positions within the organization. Mr. Duncan has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Quachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR. He has earned a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation and is a member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO).

William Eckert (Tewksbury, NJ), to vice president and controller of Selective Insurance Company of America. Mr. Eckert joined Selective in May 2006. He came to Selective from Prudential where he most recently served as accountable executive for the company's worldwide implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley 404. Prior to that, he was vice president, financial management. Mr. Eckert earned his CPA in 1987 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Miami University in Oxford, OH. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts.

Lorraine Miller (Princeton, NJ), to vice president, specialty programs strategic business unit, Selective Insurance Company of America. Ms. Miller joined Selective in May 2006. Before coming to Selective, she served as vice president of the Public and Non Profit Programs Division at American Re-Insurance. Ms. Miller holds a designation as an Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU).

Stephen Wagner (Bel Air, MD), to vice president and personal lines marketing director for Selective Insurance Company of America. Mr. Wagner joined Selective in May 2006. Before coming to Selective, he was vice president of sales & marketing with Farmers Insurance Group. Mr. Wagner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Alfred University in Alfred, NY.

John Venusti (New York, NY), to assistant vice president and senior equity analyst, Selective Insurance Company of America. Mr. Venusti joined Selective in June 2006. Prior to that, he was a senior consultant for IBM Global Business Services and has seven years of equity research experience. Mr. Venusti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He is a Certified Financial Analyst Charterholder.

Selective Insurance Group, Inc. is a holding company for seven property and casualty insurance companies rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best. Through independent agents, the insurance companies offer primary and alternative market insurance for commercial and personal risks, and flood insurance underwritten by the National Flood Insurance Program.
